Sherlock
Integrated Biometrics Sherlock is a compact fingerprint reader designed for stand-alone or
embedded module usage. The reader has PIV-071006 and Appendix F Mobile ID FAP 45
certification from the FBI. Sherlock allows to capture single or dual flat fingerprints, or
single rolled fingerprints.
Sherlock enables 1-, 2-, and 10-finger enrollment and verification from a device that weighs
just 55g / 1.94oz. Designed for both embedded and standalone applications, Sherlock combines
performance and durability with the compact size and low power consumption that mobile
identity management applications demand.
The sensor is based on company's proprietary Light Emitting Sensor (LES) technology which uses a patented capture method. The manufacturer specifies that the sensor has IP65 rugged package and offers optional IP67 package.
There are no silicone membranes or light sources to replace. Each unit can operate for hours using power provided by a smartphone or other mobile device.
