MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 Standard is a software solution that provides high speed, high volume biometric identification for national-scale projects.

  • MegaMatcher Accelerator Standard is designed to run on a PC with Core i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM. This version is shipped as an installation CD image that includes Linux OS and fast multi-biometric identification software.

MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 Standard is a family of ready-to-use software products for fast fingerprint, iris and face matching on the server-side of an AFIS or multi-biometric system. These products are intended for large-scale biometric projects with up to several million people enrolled in the database.

  • These biometric matching engines can be used with MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 Standard:
    • Fast fingerprintiris and face matching engines that can be used separately or together.
    • Fingerprint, face, iris and voiceprint matching engines that can be used separately or together to validate matching results produced by the fast fingerprint and/or iris engines.
  • Includes an installation CD image for a PC that meets system requirements.
    The installation CD includes:

    • Debian Linux OS;
    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 Standard software.
  • Hardware is not included.
  • Several PCs with the Standard Accelerator software can be combined using the included cluster software to reach a higher level of performance.

client communication module is included with MegaMatcher 10.0 SDK. The module allows the sending of a task to MegaMatcher Accelerator, querying the status of the task, retrieving the results and then removing the task. A high-level API is provided for the developer, all low-level communications are hidden.

    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 Extended software should be installed on HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 server hardware with these specifications:
      • 2 x Intel Xeon processor E5-2680 v3 (12 cores, 30M cache, 2.5 GHz);
      • RAM, depending on the number of biometric engines:
        • 128 GB RAM (8 x 16 GB DDR4 2Rx4 PC4-2133P-R) – for single biometric engine;
        • 256 GB RAM (16 x 16 GB DDR4 2Rx4 PC4-2133P-R) – for two biometric engines;
        • 384 GB RAM (24 x 16 GB DDR4 2Rx4 PC4-2133P-R) – for three biometric engines;
      • 6 x 300 GB HDD (SAS, 10,000 rpm);
      • HP iLO Advanced;
      • HP Smart Array P440ar/2G FIO Controller.

  • 1,000,000 face records for each MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 Standard

If a biometric template contains several fingerprint, face and/or iris records, the database storage capacity changes proportionally. The table below shows storage capacities for some combinations of fingerprints, faces and/or irises records. There are no limitations on the quantity of fingerprint, face or iris records in a template.

  • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 Standard licenses; each license allows the use of the included engines on a single PC:
    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 fingerprint engine license.
    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 iris engine license.
    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 face engine license.
    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 fingerprint and face engines license – the engines may be used as a fused matching engine.
    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 fingerprint and iris engines license – the engines may be used as a fused matching engine.
    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 face and iris engines license – the engines may be used as a fused matching engine.
    • MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 fingerprint, face and iris engines license – the engines may be used as a fused matching engine.

    All versions of MegaMatcher Accelerator 10.0 also include Fast Fingerprint Matcher, Fast Face Matcher, Fast Iris Matcher and Voice Matcher components for use in situations where the MegaMatcher Accelerator matching engine is either not required or cannot be used.

    Disaster recovery licenses for MegaMatcher Accelerator software are also available. The disaster recovery licenses are intended for using in disaster recovery centers (DRC). A DRC is a location which has the same equipment as the primary site, completely mirrors the data environment of the primary site and is on standby while the primary site is working. If the primary site fails, the DRC takes over operations.
