Unifyia User Client - Windows
The Unifyia User Client v2.2.1 is an application running as a Windows service. It supports the Unifyia
platform v2.0.3. It facilitates interactions with various types of card readers to execute requested
operations on the connected identity devices. Serving as an intermediary service, it connects the
Unifyia platform with the associated card readers, enabling the execution of card-related actions.
Unifyia User Client supports interaction with only the PCSC Card Readers - Contact and Contactless.
Software Distribution
The client supports Windows 64-bit OS and requires minimum RAM of 2GBS. You will find the application in the Device Client >
Windows folder in the
software distribution packages shared with you. The installation files are packaged as
Unifyia_User_Client_x64_2.2.1.exe.
Supported Functions
To install, read, and write PCSC - Contact and Contactless Cards.
Supported Devices
The Unifyia Client is compatible with all PCSC Card Readers - Contact and Contactless.
Install Client
This section will walk you through the process of installing the Client service. On your local
machine,
download and extract the Client application that was shared with you. Follow the installation
instructions for your operating system.
- Select the .exe file shared with you.
- If necessary, change the location; otherwise, keep the default location.
- Check the box to confirm that you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions.
- Select Install.
- The setup wizard installs the Client.
- Select Finish once the installation is completed.
You have successfully installed the Client service, which can now be found in the list of local
services on your machine.
Stop and Restart Service
In case you would like to stop and restart the service, follow the below steps:
- Open the Run window (Windows Key + R).
- Type msc and select OK.
- Search for Unifyia User Client.
- Select the link Stop to start the service.
- Select the link Restart to start the service.
Uninstall Client
Follow the below steps to uninstall the User Client application on a Windows machine.
- Open the Run window (Windows Key + R) and type Control panel.
- Go to the Programs> Programs and Features
- Look for and select the Client.
- Right-click on it and select the option Uninstall.
Troubleshooting
This section will assist you in resolving basic service issues that may arise while using the service.
- Service is unavailable or unresponsive
If the Client service is not responding and appears to be offline, you must determine whether or not the
service is active. Follow the steps outlined below.
- Open the Run window (Windows key + R) and type msc.
- Search for the Client and start it if it is not already running.
If the issue persists, navigate to the installation path where the Client application files are located.
The application logs are stored in a file called client.log. For a
resolution, send the log file to the support team. The default installation path is
C:\Program Files\Unifyia\Client\logs\client.log
