Add and Manage Identity Providers

This tutorial guides you through the process of adding and managing an identity provider for identity federation with the Unifyia platform.

Add Identity Provider

Ensure to review the available configuration parameters before adding an identity provider.

  1. Log into the platform with administrator credentials.
  2. Navigate to Integrations > Datasources > Identity Provider.
  3. Select + Add Identity Provider.
    1. Select OpenID Connect v1.0 to integrate an IdP using the OIDC protocol.
    2. Select SAML v2.0 to integrate an IdP using SAML protocol.
  4. Provide the name for the application being added.
  5. Enter a brief description of this integration.
  6. Upload a logo for the IdP being configured.
  7. To learn more about the configurable parameters for IdP Configuration refer to common configurations based on the selected protocol.
    1. For OIDC, refer to Configuration Parameters to Add IdPs Using OIDC Protocol
    2. For SAML, refer to Configuration Parameters to Add IdPs Using SAML Protocol
  8. Select Save to save the directory configuration.
  9. Now, edit the newly created IdP. The Mapper tab appears.
  10. Select the Mappers tab. Add mappers such as role mappers, group mappers, etc. as required. To learn more refer to the OIDC, SAML-supported mapper types to understand the various mappers that you can configure to suit your organization's requirement.

    2. For SAML, refer to the mappers section under Configuration Parameters to Add IdPs Using SAML Protocol
  11. Once the mappers' configuration is complete, you are ready to manage identity federation with the Unifyia platform.

Manage Identity Providers

This section guides you through the process of editing and deleting an identity provider on the Unfiyia platform.

  1. Log into the platform with administrator credentials.
  2. Navigate to Integrations > Datasources > Identity Provider.
  3. A list of configured IdPs is displayed.
  4. To edit an IdP, select the Pencil icon at the end of the selected IdP row and modify the configuration parameters as needed. Note that the Redirect URL and Alias fields cannot be edited. Select Update to save the changes.
  5. To delete an IdP, select the Bin icon at the end of the selected IdP row. Select Yes to confirm or No to exit the process.
