Integrate SSO Applications
The Unifyia platform allows you to integrate applications for Single Sign-On (SSO) via OIDC or SAML
protocols. Enabling SSO streamlines access to multiple applications by centralizing login through a
single interface and credential thus simplifying credential management.
Overview
Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication process that allows a user to access multiple applications with
one set of login credentials. Rather than remembering different usernames and passwords for every
application or service, the user only needs to authenticate once, and SSO takes care of granting access
to other connected systems automatically. This process simplifies the user experience by reducing the
number of logins and streamlining access across different platforms.
SSO works by relying on a central identity provider (IdP), which authenticates the user. Once the user
logs in, the IdP issues an authentication token that is then passed between different applications and
services to grant access. This token typically contains user-specific data, such as role and permission
information, which is used to verify the user’s identity and determine the resources they are
allowed to access.

FIDO2 Provisioning
Supporting Single Sign-On applications provides significant advantages in terms of user convenience,
security, productivity, and administrative efficiency. By centralizing authentication, organizations can
streamline the user experience, reduce security risks, and simplify both user management and compliance.
SSO is a powerful solution, particularly for businesses operating in environments with numerous
interconnected systems and users.

Okta
The Unifyia platform offers seamless integration with Okta to enable Single Sign-On (SSO). This allows
users to access Okta using their Unifyia platform credentials, providing a unified and secure
authentication experience and thus reducing the need for multiple logins. You can integrate Okta using
OIDC or SAML protocols.
Refer to the below how-to guides to learn how to integrate SSO applications using the OIDC and SAML
protocol.
